Anti-Trumper Jennifer Lawrence to Take Yr Off From Acting to ‘Fix Our Democracy’




Actress Jennifer Lawrence has been one of President Trump’s most outspoken celebrity critics.


Now, she says she’ll take one full year off from acting in order to ‘fix our democracy.’

Jennifer Lawrence said she’s taking a year off from acting in order to pursue a career in activism and help “fix our democracy.”


The Oscar-winning actress made the announcement Thursday while promoting her new film “Red Sparrow” with ET’s Carly Steel.


“I’m going to take the next year off,” Ms. Lawrence, 27, said. “I’m going to be working with this organization I’m a part of: Represent.Us. It’s just trying to get young people engaged politically on a local level.”


“It doesn’t have anything to do with partisan [politics],” she said of the organization. “It’s just anti-corruption and stuff trying to pass state-by-state laws that can help prevent corruption, fix our democracy. And then I don’t know what I’m doing next.”


Lawrence once said she’d toss a martini in Trump’s face if they ever met, per Daily Caller:


Jennifer Lawrence has been waiting for her moment to meet Donald Trump and she already knows exactly what she plans to do.


In an interview with Oprah Winfrey published by The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday, the “Silver Linings Playbook” actress talked about everything from her nude photos to Harvey Weinstein and revealed what she would do if she ever met the president.


“Oh, my God, I’ve been waiting for this moment. I’ll give you a hint — it’s not nice. You wouldn’t want me to say it to you,” Lawrence told Winfrey.


“I’ve got a pretty good speech. And it ends with a martini to the face,” she said with a laugh. “I have something to say for all of them. I watch different characters on the news, and I’m like, ‘You just wait.’”


This woman is deluded.


It’s nice she claims to care about her country, but does she – REALLY!?

Michael Pence planned a marriage ceremony to Sarah Whiteside on Saturday and one Democrat activist and local school board member could not handle it. Sue Wazner took to Facebook on Wednesday to complain about the ceremony, which was to take place in a local Indiana park, saying it would disrupt regular park operations.
